Everything I've made
What if saying the quiet part out loud was the whole point?
A satirical AI newsroom, 2026 · Solo
Made for
Newsreaders of India who are overwhelmed by the daily news.
Why I built it
News is dead, or at least the world has stopped flinching at it, and I thought satire might get past that. I can't write satire, so I built an AI newsroom that does. Of everything here, it's the one closest to my heart, and the hardest to run, harder than the commute calculator. I still haven't found my footing with it.
melam
melam, 2026 · Solo
Made for
My inner child.
Why I built it
I keep fantasising about a fusion record with Meshuggah, chenda melam and thaarai thappattai, so I built a chenda simulator to play with the idea. It needs proper chenda samples to get better, and if you can help with that, coffee is on me.

What does your daily commute actually cost you?
Commute Impact Calculator, 2025 · Solo
Made for
The commuters of the world.
Where it stands
Started from a question: can you stop traffic before it happens, by looking at it one commuter at a time instead of one jam at a time? It's a slow grind and I'm still figuring it out as I measure.

Chennai Traffic Impact Calculator
Chennai Traffic Impact Calculator, 2024 · Solo
Made for
The commuters of Chennai who are curious about the impact of their commute choices on the collective traffic.
What it became
The prototype for Commute Impact, built and run entirely on Replit. This is the one where I learned to build with AI.

How-Many
How-Many, 2024 · Solo
Built on a train, after another day of "40 dead in Gaza" headlines: a satire that asks you to mark deaths as "acceptable losses" until the denial turns absurd. FREE PALESTINE.

The Hindu Fridays
The Hindu Fridays, 2024 · I ran every event end to end, with The Hindu team. The first was made with StoriCulture.
Made for
The Hindu's subscribers, and the Carnatic music audience.
What it proved
The goal was to give the Carnatic music audience an immersive experience. As a pilot, it proved that curated, immersive offline events engage subscribers.
Why should a reader marry a publication to read one story?
APPAPPO, 2018 · Product manager at Vikatan Group, with Vikatan's engineering team
Made for
People tired of full-pack subscriptions, and the publishing ecosystem.
What happened
For readers who want to pay for one story instead of buying an annual subscription and forgetting to cancel it. It won an award and then it died; the reasons are in the micropayments essay.

Tamil Flash News
Tamil Flash News, 2015 · Product manager at Vikatan Group, with the newsroom and engineering teams
Made for
Tamil readers tired of clickbait news.
What happened
Born in a hackathon at Vikatan, my first all-hands product, with a team that built something Tamil Nadu trusted for short daily news. It was making decent money and helped a lot of people during the Chennai floods, and we shut it down anyway, for reasons that were internal and not ours.
