Why this site exists

I wanted a place for myself online, an expression of me, my thoughts and my taste.

I am smaller than a speck of dust in this vast universe, and I am trying to find meaning and significance through my work. I treat my products as an offering, the way a cat brings gifts to the people it lives with, or a child makes clay toys and hands them to their parents. Some of them I was paid to build. APPAPPO was one: an offering to people tired of full-pack subscriptions, and a hope that pay-per-article could be tried. It failed.

Since 2021 I've written Ostinato Rigore, a newsletter about the things that make me curious. The name is Leonardo da Vinci's motto: obstinate rigor.

I built this site with Claude. I handed over the execution and kept the ideas and the judgement to myself.

At Motor Vikatan I was taught to answer every postcard a reader sent, whatever was written on it. I still do. If you write, I'll write back.
